Biography
Agricultural Engineer from the National University of Mar del Plata (UNMdP) (1987). Master’s Program in Genetics (1992) focusing on improving bee genetics from the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil); Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Agricultural Sciences at the National University of Mar del Plata (2005).
He has been a professor at the UNMdP Faculty of Agricultural Sciences since 1982 and is currently a professor of Beekeeping in the undergraduate program in Agricultural Science and professor of Quality and Technology of honey and beekeeping products in the undergraduate program in Food Science and Technology. She is also part of the teaching team of the Beekeeping for Development undergraduate program (Faculty of Veterinary Science-UNCPBA/INTA). He participated in the formulation of PROAPI (Integrated Beekeeping Development Project, currently INTA Beekeeping Programme) in 1995 and has played various roles in the team since then. She joined INTA in 2011 and has been coordinating the INTA PROAPI Program at the national level since 2014. She is a member of the redlac team she. His main field of work is the genetic improvement of bees, and he led the team responsible for obtaining PROAPI genetics with high hygienic behavior and tolerance to brood diseases, which made it possible to eliminate the use of antibiotics in beekeeping production.
She has participated and coordinated national and international projects aimed at producing information and technology for the control of bee diseases with non-infectious methods. He has scientific articles and articles on this subject published in national and international journals. She also served as director and co-director for master’s and doctoral students in the fields of bee genetics, health, nutrition and added value in beekeeping production. He served on scientific committees at national and international conferences and made presentations at many scientific and technical events at home and abroad.
